Wednesday Dec 01, 2021

Wednesday Dec 01, 2021

Hello Mousai Collective,
I’m your host, Lindsay Cabrera and welcome back to this weeks episode. Before I introduce my next guest, I’d like to mention that there’s a brand new Mousai Mix up on our SoundCloud page curated by Joyce Muniz, who was featured on the last episode.
This week, you’ll be meeting up-and-coming DJ and producer Borella. Precise, uncanny and challenging. Borella's sound is hinged on defying trend and carefully selected to stimulate the mind. Already making her mark across international platforms her sound has been widely described as ‘unconventional.’
Propelled by her natural talent for weaving together deeper and darker journey-like arrangements, along with her charismatic and contagious physical presence behind the decks, she has made long strides over a short time; most notably gaining support and artist affiliation from Nick Warren and The Soundgarden.
Today, we discuss navigating through perfectionism, ballet as a saviour, aspiring female DJs in Iran and so much more! This Musical Mousai is an artist to watch, and you can follow her on Instagram @borell4
I hope you enjoy this episode and here’s Borella, on Mousai Collective!

Hello Mousai Collective!
I’m your host Lindsay Cabrera, and welcome to this week’s episode. It’s a Full Blood Moon tonight, and it’s all about finding balance between our need for freedom and our need for connection. Take some time to journal your new intentions and let go of what no longer serves you.
Today, I have Carmelina Baccari on the show who is a Cancer Slayer. October is breast cancer awareness month, and I thought it was important to share Carmelina’s journey and shine light on the work she’s doing today.
As a breast Cancer survivor, Carmelina’s transformative experiences have fuelled her passion for the art of Areola Restoration: A medical procedure that is artistically created to illustrate a 3D hyper real areola and nipple.
Through her own life lessons and struggles with breast Cancer, Carmelina was able to channel her energy into a craft that serves to bring happiness to others while fulfilling her own life’s purpose. Carmelina takes pride in continuously refining her approach, skills and techniques to not only produce exceptional aesthetic results but also to support her clients in their transition.
Today, we discuss her journey as a cancer warrior, areola restorative tattooing, procedures for a positive purpose and so much more!

Hello Mousai Collective!
I’m your host Lindsay Cabrera, and before I introduce my next guest, I’d like to mention that there’s a brand new Mousai Mix up on our SoundCloud page curated by Redfreya, who was featured on the last episode!
This week, you’ll be meeting Culinary Mousai - Anushka Garnier! With 15 years of experience in both the health and culinary industries, Anushka knows how to make nutritious taste delicious. She is the owner and operator of leaf + bone - a  Toronto based boutique natural catering + event company that offers a variety of services centralized around food and wellness.
After receiving an msc in nutrition and training in some of London, England's busiest kitchens, the conventional practices of cooking didn't always fit into the nutritive spectrum of Anushka's world. She chose to pursue a course that challenged food as we know it, searching for healthier and cleaner ways to fuel the body without compromising flavor and familiarity.
Anushka traveled to live, work, and learn in places such as the Caribbean, South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand to enrich her practice. During this time, she cultivated new techniques involving open-fire, smoking, preservation, fermentation, and manipulation of raw foods.
Working closely with farms in small rural establishments allowed her to gain an intimate understanding of the origins of food, biodynamic diversity and sustainability, and truly understanding earth's natural food resources thus inspiring her brand leaf + bone.
Today, we discuss the food influence of her Trinidadian background, her natural food catering company ‘leaf + bone’ the synergy between food and spirituality and so much more!
This foodie Mousai is a culinary artist to watch and you can follow her on Instagram @leafandboneto.
I hope you enjoy this episode and here’s Anushka Garnier on Mousai Collective!
